Founder story

Mountains & Sea was founded by a latin American who came to Taiwan on an academic scholarship nearly 20 years ago. An engineer by profession, she spent some time working for Taiwan's tech sector, and eventually moved on to work for an American beauty company. After getting a look behind-the-scenes of the industry, she saw a lot of practices that prioritized corporate profits over product safety and effectiveness. These experiences inspired her to create a different kind of beauty brand - one that puts customers first and profits second.
